Safety for Your Child:
As a parent you want to know and trust that your child is safe and happy. At ASPIRE we deem the safety of every child as paramount. It is also the foundation that allows each child to learn and grow knowing that their primary caregiver is always there for them.
All Educators must adhere to the Ministry of Education 2008 Licensing Criteria for Home Based Care. You can request to view this document that Educators maintain termly alongside their Programme Kaiako.
You may have questions about this and please feel free to discuss this with your Educator or an ASPIRE staff member.
The ASPIRE Educator Selection process is very thorough. It is our aim to provide the best “fit” for each family and Educator. Each and every one of our Educators will have completed a Police Vetting form prior to starting with ASPIRE. The Educator will also need to acquire a Child First Aid Certificate within three months of registration.
ASPIRE do not have an open door policy for Educators. Educators are only selected on the basis that they choose this career for the right reasons and align with our philosophy around caring and educating children.
Programme Kaiako (who hold a minimum of a diploma in early childhood education and are registered with the New Zealand Teachers Council) will visit each Educators property to complete the Ministry of Education 2008 Licensing Criteria for Home Based Care prior to your child starting.
Under no circumstances will children be left with anyone but the Educator unless it has been organised by the Family and the Educator and one of the ASPIRE staff must to be notified.
