Have you ever thought about becoming a home-based educator?
Life as an educator means working from home and enjoying the flexibility that comes with it. It also allows you to share your lived experiences with the children in your care.
Working as a home-based educator is not only rewarding and fulfilling, but it also allows you the freedom to set your own hours, work on your own schedule, and create your own curriculum. You can have a successful career as a home-based educator if you have the right attitude, work hard, and most importantly, possess a love for working with kids.
As a home-based educator you would play an extremely important role in the lives of the children in your care.
You would provide a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages their learning and growth. You would also be responsible for guiding the learning adventures and supporting each child to build the essential skills they need to be successful in life.
The key is to enable the children to safely explore their own interests and develop their own individuality, while still providing the structure and guidance needed to help them reach their goals.
Up to 4 children and no more than 2 children under 2.
You choose your fee and we pay a subsidy
As an Educator you can charge anywhere from $3 – $12 an hour per child so with 4 children in your care you can be making anywhere between $12 – $48 per hour. It’s really up to you as to how you set your fee. To help cover the cost of care, we provide a fixed hourly subsidy for each child and the parents pay the difference.
Our Subsidy:
Children under 3 years old: $3/hour up to $90/week (per child)
20 Hours FREE: $5/hour (per child)
We are always getting enquiries from families looking for childcare and if they’re looking care in your area, we will contact you to see if you would like to arrange an interview. If the interview goes well, we’ll help the parents through the enrolment process and congratulations! You have a new student.
You can also look for children on your own. Family, friends, neighbours etc. There are parents looking for care all around you and having a teacher who is nearby and trustworthy can make such a huge difference. Why not ask the question - are you looking for childcare?
Absolutely, yes! However, there may be some conditions involved if the children live in the same house as you so get in touch with us to discuss your situation.
Great! ASPIRE is the place for you.
We have many bilingual Educators and we encourage them to teach in their mother-tongue.
